Amboseli National Park which is the the oldest and the second in popularity after the legendary Masai Mara Game Reserve. The park not only offers great game viewing but is also the place to go for the best views of iconic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa most tallest mountain. Amboseli National Park is situated in Loitoktok District, Rift Valley Province of Kenya.
Day 1 NairobiKencher Safaris guide driver will warmly meet you on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, transfer you to the Hemingways Nairobi. Check-in then brief you on your safari. Enjoy overnight as you wait to start your Kenya safari on your best holiday in Africa. You are booked on Bed & Breakfast.
Hemingways Nairobi is ideally located to several of Nairobi's major tourist attractions among them the Karen Blixen Museum and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Day 2 Nairobi - Amboseli National ParkEnjoy breakfast then we drive you to the Amboseli National Park arriving at the Elewana Tortilis Camp for check-in then lunch. Amboseli is great for a Kenya safari. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside the rainy season. Later return back to the Amboseli Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Amboseli National Park - Sweetwaters National ReserveAfter breakfast, you now drive north via Nairobi (400km - 6 hrs 30 minutes) you proceed to the Equator in the Laikipia Plateau and Mt. Kenya region arriving for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive at this private game ranch. Ol Pejeta Conservancy(Sweetwaters National Reserve) is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp or a similar camp.
Day 4 Full Day Sweetwaters National ReserveYou will have a full day at Sweetwaters with morning and afternoon game drives. This provides you with ample time to explore this impressive wildlife park and sanctuary as you marvel at the magnificent sight of the snow-capped Mt. Kenya peaks in the background. Game drives at Sweetwaters are indeed a pleasure. There also optional activities such as game walks accompanied by a resident naturalist, game rides on horseback, camel rides, or nighttime game drives. These activities are available for an extra fee.
Day 5 Sweetwaters National Reserve - Lake Nakuru National ParkAfter an early morning, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park which is located in the Great Rift Valley, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch go for an exciting game drive until 6.30 in the evening. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 birds's species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp or a similar camp.
Day 6 Full Day Lake Nakuru National ParkOn this day you will have an early morning game drive before breakfast to try to find leopard which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park and return to the lodge/camp for breakfast. After breakfast you will take a further drive to seek out the 2 species of rhino found in the park, returning before lunch. The afternoon is at leisure, relaxing by the lodge swimming pool before an evening game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp or a similar camp.
Day 7 Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake NaivashaEarly morning breakfast leave lake Nakuru with a short game drive with packed lunch and proceed to Lake Bogoria A 3 hours drive to main gate bogoria. but you will have a stop at the Equator line few metres away from the equator line towards the northern side; the water spins clockwise. Towards the southern; spins anticlockwise just Amazing. later proceed to bogoria which is a shallow soda lake with a beautiful scenery and home of lot of flamingo's and hot springs the geysers. After lunch drive back to Lake Naivasha A 3 and half hours drive to Naivasha for Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Crater Tented Camp or a similar camp.
Day 8 Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara Game ReserveEarly morning breakfast. After breakfast leave Lake Naivasha for Masai Mara A 5 hours drive to main gate you will pass to Narok town which is famous Masai town proceeding to Masai Mara park. You will arrive in time for lunch Check in at Mara or Fig Tree Mara Camp and have lunch. Afternoon game drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other members of the Big five plus other animals. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara camp or Mara Bush Camp / Base Camp or similar camp.
Day 9 Full Day Masai Mara Game ReserveEarly morning game drive and return to camp for breakfast. After breakfast Full day in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents, The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season early July to end of September, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson's gazelle are regularly seen, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as are very large Nile crocodiles, who lay in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures. later Meals and overnight at the Camp / Lodge.
Day 10 Masai Mara Game Reserve - NairobiEarly morning game drive later return to your lodge for Breakfast. After breakfast check out with a short game drive en-route off Masai Mara Game Reserve and drive to Nairobi. you will arrive Nairobi in time for lunch. Lunch at carnivore afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport.
